sunshine on a rainy day

So what does one do after being flooded in from enormous amounts of rain?

Have a party of course!

Lots of rainbow colour on a cloudy day makes everything brighter. Oh and pinatas. Lots of pinatas.

Yep, we definitely found a pot of gold at the end of this rainbow.

  7. Ok you've captured my imagination with the cake.... You'll have to do a separate post on the cake "how to" even if you think it's easy.... It looks awesome

    1. Thanks Kathy! The cake came from one of the women's weekly birthday cake books. You just make a regular round cake, ice it and pile it up with lollies. Then you make a chocolate shell (I used an oiled stainless steel mixing bowl), by melting chocolate and covering the inside of the bowl. Put into the fridge until set. Turn it out over the top of the cake and cover with smarties or other lollies (with a little dob of melted chocolate). Give the birthday child a hammer and let them go at it to crack it open! So much fun!
